What Now?

Where do I start?

First off, register! You can worry about the other stuff in a minute.

Go ahead, we’ll wait.

All done? Okay, next you should attend a FREE workshop, hacknight, mixer and/or class leading up to the hackathon. These events will make sure you have the knowledge of why this kind of hacking is important and how to do it. You can build something amazing, we just know it.

Now, tell your friends. This event won’t work without teams of people building cool stuff.

I am not a developer or designer, but want to get involved?

We would love that! This event will be held at the Pioneer Center for the Performing arts, out in the open. Just like the data we’ll be using. It is going to take a lot of work to make this event happen. Head over and register as a volunteer. Then drop us a note telling us how you’d like to help out.

My company or organization wants to get in on this.

We’ve got three options for you to help make Reno a smarter, more engaged place to live:

  • Send a team!: Register a team and show up in team t-shirts, with a team flag, or anything that boosts team morale. A hackathon needs people.
  • Sponsorship: Creating an open, more engaged community is not a problem you can “throw money at”. We are looking for organizations that want to roll up their sleeves and help build this city! Let’s talk.
  • VolunteersWe will need a number of volunteers before, during and after the event to help out. If you can’t code or design but want to help us out, let us know!

I want to sponsor Hack4Reno

Hooray! Take a look at our sponsorship information and join the fine list of amazing organizations at the bottom of this page. (It really is a fine list…)
